Impressionist Landscape of Woods and Path

"Into the Woods"
6" x 8"
Oil on Canvas Panel
$85

I was in the mood for a landscape today and had plans for doing a large one but decided I needed to do a few small studies first to determine color.  I really enjoy painting small landscapes. They're sort of intimate and invite you in for a closer look while still allowing you to see the larger picture.

It was truly beautiful yesterday. It was sunny and the temperature was a warm 45 degees. The sun actually warmed my face. It almost felt like spring. So I went home, dug through all my photos and came up with one from last summer. I remember this day. The fog was just lifting and the sun was shooting through the trees onto the path. The bugs were just starting to buz and the breeze was sweet with salt air off straits. Take heart, it's just around the corner.

Pastel Landscape of sunny fields and oak trees, framed 13" x 10"

"Santa Rosa Morning"nfs

I love painting in pastels and it's been awhile since I've done so. I was helping out a friend by introducing them to the medium and knocked out this little one as a demo. I don't usually sell my pastels on EBay but this one is already framed and ready to go so I thought I'd post it.

Here's the image without the frame.
