GENERAL ART CLASS

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO COVID SAFETY PRECAUTIONS, THE ATELIER CLASS HAS BEEN COMBINED WITH THE FRIDAY GENERAL CLASS. BOTH CURRICULUMS ARE TAUGHT IN THIS CLASS AND EACH STUDENT, DEPENDING ON WHICH TRACK THEY DESIRE TO STUDY, IS TAUGHT ACCORDING TO THEIR NEEDS.

The Friday General art class is a less structured class than the Wednesday class. Structure is provided, but rather than being applied to the entire class curriculum, it is specifically designed for the individual student to meet their particular needs. All levels are accepted from beginner to advanced and each student is taught to their level of ability. Principles of composition, design, color and value are presented, but introduced as the need for a particular lesson arises. Classes are held to a maximum of eight students to allow for individual attention. Students may pursue just drawing or painting in either oils, pastels or acrylics and may explore a wide array of subjects.
